My approach is relational, client-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed.
Hi there, I am Linh, a Registered Psychotherapist at Counselling & Co. I hold the belief that as you move through life, it's almost inevitable that there will be times where you find yourself feeling stuck or overwhelmed, it's part of the human experience. Having difficulty saying no, being overly critical, perfectionistic or doubting yourself are commonly shared experiences of a lot of the clients I work with. The psychological distress it may cause can impact every aspect of daily life and relationship with self and others. While the anxiety might hold you back or the depression leaves you feeling disconnected, it's also likely what encouraged you to seek support and pursue counselling. I am so glad you have found your way here because this means you have already taken the hardest step.
I am passionate about working with individuals and couples with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Growing up in an East Asian immigrant household has shaped and informed my practice in many ways. I hold so much empathy and a deep understanding of the challenges that arise for people relocating and adjusting to a new home and community, struggling to find a balanced stance within your own cultural identity and navigating through life transitions and experiences of immigration, oppression or racism. I hope you will feel encouraged to share your story while feeling seen and heard. I will always hold space to honour your cultural identity and be attuned and responsive to your unique needs.
